Chapong vs Cloudflare Pages
Cloudflare Pages deploys static sites and functions to Cloudflare’s global network. Chapong takes a different route: your sites and long-running Node apps run on a server you own, next to a Postgres backend.
Where they differ
General differences in approach, as of 2026. Cloudflare Pages changes its products and plans over time, so check its own documentation for current details.
| Chapong | Cloudflare Pages | |
|---|---|---|
| Where your apps run | On a dedicated server provisioned for you, or on Chapong’s shared pool | On Cloudflare’s global network |
| Where data and logs live | On the server that runs your site | On Cloudflare’s infrastructure |
| Pricing model | Flat monthly plans; own-server plans include the server | Per Cloudflare’s published plans |
| Server code | Long-running Node processes (Next.js, Nuxt, Express…) | Functions on Cloudflare’s Workers runtime |
| Preview deploys | Yes, a URL per pull request with a commit status | Yes |
| Database | One-click Da8a backend: Postgres, auth, storage and functions, Supabase-compatible | Cloudflare’s own data products, or external databases |
| Global edge delivery | Not the focus: served from your server | A core part of the platform |
Cloudflare Pages may suit you better if…
- Your site is mostly static and you want it served from a global edge network
- You already use Cloudflare for DNS, security and other services
- Your server code fits the Workers model
Chapong may suit you better if…
- You run long-running Node servers rather than edge functions
- You want your code, logs and data on a server you control
- You want a Postgres, auth and storage backend linked to the site
- You prefer a flat price that includes the server
Moving a project over
- Create a site from the same repository; check the detected framework, build command and output folder.
- Copy your environment variables into the site’s production, preview or shared scopes.
- Deploy a preview and test it before switching any traffic.
- Move Pages Functions into a Node app or Da8a edge functions; you can keep Cloudflare as your DNS provider.
- Add your domain, point DNS at the target Chapong shows, and HTTPS is issued automatically.
